Our Facilities

GDL is based in Piramal Nagar, a gated area on the edge of Bagar, that also houses the Piramal Senior Secondary Boys School (and hostel) and the BEd college.

The GDL compound, a former girls hostel, is a friendly communal space with a courtyard in the centre of around a ring of around 10 rooms. There is a kitchen, bathroom facilities and four offices on site. To support volunteers we have two resident cooks who provide all meals and wireless broadband and availability of a scooter/cycle for connectivity.

In addition Bagar Employment Insitute is housed in its own building, a short walk from the GDL campus, as is Source for Change. Both have recently undergone location shifts and renovation work. There is further space available at the GDL guesthouse that contains a classroom where the Bagar Business Course (Entrepreneurship development programme) is conducted. The sarvajal outlet is just outside Piramal Nagar, and the team also have nearby office space at the regional headquarters of e-Swasthya, a Piramal Healthcare project.
